PillPulse operates entirely on your physical mobile device. We do not operate remote servers, cloud databases, pharmacy integration pipelines, or behavioral telemetry systems.
Your medication names, dosages, schedules, and adherence histories are stored exclusively within the secure local sandbox of your mobile device.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
Because PillPulse maintains no external cloud servers or analytics integrations, we never collect, harvest, or monetize:
- Zero Protected Health Information (PHI) Transmission: We do not transmit or upload your prescription names, dosages, doctors' notes, or treatment plans.
- Zero Personal Identity Data: No patient names, insurance ID numbers, emails, phone numbers, or dates of birth are requested or collected.
- Zero Location Data: PillPulse does not request GPS, Wi-Fi, or cellular location permissions.
- Zero Behavioral Telemetry: We do not monitor how often you take pills, skipped doses, or adherence rates.
- Zero Advertising or Pharmaceutical Profiling: We do not read device advertising IDs (GAID/IDFA) and never share data with pharmaceutical marketers, insurers, or data brokers.
3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
All health schedules created within PillPulse are saved strictly in your device's sandboxed local application storage:
- Medication Profiles: Medication name, form (tablet, capsule, liquid, injection), strength/dosage (e.g. 50mg), and special instructions (e.g., "Take with food").
- Schedules & Alarms: Time of day, frequency (daily, specific weekdays, cyclical intervals), and refill threshold alerts.
- Dosage History: Taken timestamps, skipped dose records, and historical adherence logs.
- User Preferences: Audio notification sounds, vibration preferences, and dark/light UI themes.
4. Device Permissions Explained
PillPulse requests only minimal, local-only permissions:
- Exact Alarms & Local Notifications (Required for Reminders): Used solely by the operating system on your phone to trigger local alarm sound and notification banners at your scheduled dose times. No network communication is involved.
- Vibration / Audio: Used to provide tactile and audible alert cues for scheduled alarms.
- File Storage / Document Access (Optional): Required only if you explicitly choose to export your medication schedule as CSV or JSON for doctor visits or personal backup.
5. Data Ownership, Backups & Deletion
You have absolute ownership and control over your medication records:
- Instant Deletion: You can delete any medication entry, log history, or purge the entire database at any time from app settings.
- Complete Removal: Uninstalling PillPulse or clearing application storage in system settings permanently deletes all medical logs from your device.
6. GDPR, CCPA/CPRA & Health Privacy Compliance
PillPulse guarantees the highest privacy standards:
- Data Sovereignty: Your health records remain exclusively under your physical control.
- No Third-Party Monetization: We never sell, disclose, or transfer personal or medical information to third parties.
7. Children's Online Privacy (COPPA)
PillPulse does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Union).
8. Third-Party Services
PillPulse contains no third-party tracking SDKs, analytics libraries (e.g. Firebase or Google Analytics), or advertising networks.
